Miniature Horses
Back of the Moon Farm is a small miniature horse breeding farm located in southwest CT. We breed for show quality driving horses with a splash of color. Our horses have the temperment and work ethic needed to succeed in both the ring or on a cross country course. Most of our horses are registered AMHA/AMHR and PtHA. Our minis are handled on a daily basis, starting from birth and are well exposed to obstacles such as traffic, noises, dogs-you name it. We also trailer them to nearby places so they will have an easier adjustment for their first time trailer rides. All horses are vaccinated twice a year, receive regular hoof trimming as well as yearly teeth floating. Although we breed and show for the performance horse, our miniatures also make wonderful pets. We are only expecting one foal this year, having bred just two horses. Our hope is to breed more horses when the economy picks up for equine sales.
